I love clothes, I love shopping. And I love reading about clothes too…. That is so weird I know, but even the description of a good scarf, an intricately styled heel even a beautiful pair of earrings is enough for me.(Mostly because I can’t afford to dress like I really want to πŸ˜› ) So anyways here’s a few of my favorite books that have perfectly described clothes and shopping:

  • Sophie Kinsella’s Confessions Of A Shopaholic

This is a simply wonderful book. Less for the writing, more for the clothes that are described. All the books in the Shopaholic series actually. There are some iconic dresses and style statements in those pages. The movie didn’t have half the charm though. Disappointing really. But the books… and Luke Brandon. That guy πŸ˜‰

  • Lauren Weisbrger’s The Devil Wears Prada

Oh I love this book. And The Devil Wears Prada movie, is one of my all time favorites, from book adaptions. The clothes, the shoes, the bags πŸ˜› The characters!! Fashion magazine dissected. And someone get me a copy of Revenge Wears Prada please. I am dying to read that book!!

These two books make simply delightful reading, when you are broke and can only afford to read about such clothes πŸ˜› But as they say, window shopping costs nothing… and so doesn’t reading a book. You can find these in nearly all libraries worth their salt, and even online I think.

So until we meet again, shop until you drop.. Na just kidding…Stop shopping before you drop :p
